FAQs

  • Your first visit will take about 30 to 45 minutes. Your chiropractor will ask you questions about your current issue as well as ask you questions about your general health history. An examination will be done which will include various movement tests to discover where your difficulty is coming from. The chiropractor will then explain what they have found out and what the plan of action will be. Most likely your treatment will include manipulation which is a hand on treatment that increases the movement in restricted joints. The increased movement will help your pain go down. Depending on your complaint you may also receive ultrasound therapy or interferential current therapy designed to help alleviate pain as well. You will be given some homework to do usually some basic exercises and an ice therapy routine.

  • Each patient is different with regards to how their body heals. Most patients see the chiropractor frequently over the first 2 weeks usually 3 times per week then decreasing over subsequent weeks. Many patients continue to visit the chiropractor once every 4-6 weeks to maintain a healthy movement within their joints.
